Hurricane Harvey Intensifies

Hurricane Harvey has intensified overnight into a Category 2 storm overnight threatening the Gulf Coast of Texas with storm surges, 120 mph sustained wind, and torrential rain. Experts anticipate flooding will be a major and widespread event.

Those who live along the coast should heed all evacuation warnings and make any final preparations this morning. Predictions are that tropical storm force winds will start around 2:00 pm today.

As the flooding rains come in Saturday, be aware of road conditions. It only takes 6 inches of moving water to knock down an adult and 2 feet of water can move a car.
