As Likelihood for El Nino Fades, The Odds Increase for More Atlantic Hurricanes
Forecasters at the U.S. Climate Prediction Center have released an updated weather model with only a 36% chance that El Nino will emerge between October and December. This is down from 46% chance last month. Without the winds that El Nino brings to weaken Atlantic storms, more powerful systems can form putting Florida and the Gulf at risk.
